地球村，是说地球虽然很大，但是随着广播、电视、互联网和其它电子媒介的出现，大家交流就像在一个小村子里面一样便利。

“地球村”(global village)一词是加拿大传播学家M.麦克卢汉1967年在他的《理解媒介：人的延伸》一书中首次提出。麦克卢汉对现代传播媒介的分析深刻地改变了人们——特别是当代青年人，对20世纪以及21世纪生活的观念，他所预言的地球村在今天的社会已经变成了现实。在麦克卢汉看来，“地球村”的主要含义不是指发达的传媒使地球变小了，而是指人们的交往方式以及社会和文化形态发生了重大变化。

地球村是互联网的发展；是信息网络时代的集中体现；是知识经济时代的一种形式；而现代交通工具的飞速发展，通信技术的更新换代，网络技术的全面运用使地球村得以形成。

如何有效地进行听说训练

1．听懂文章大意

在听力过程中，不能只在意单词，要在意句子本身的意思，有些地方听不懂没关系，要了解整篇文章在说什么。

2．积累语言知识

整理每次听力材料中的新知识点、新单词，通过语境去记忆。

3．训练听说能力

听说能力可以从听写、精听、跟读和复述四个方面来训练。

(1)听写：先总体听一遍材料，了解大意；然后听文章句子，写下来，倒回去再听；直到把它完全写出来。

(2)精听：将听力材料一字一句地写下来，精确到标点符号。

(3)跟读：先对照着文本，精听至少三遍；然后尝试以相同的节奏跟读听力材料，不断地跟读，理想情况下平均8遍之后可以跟上材料的语速。

(4)复述：整段复述(保证段落长度的复述时间不超过1分钟)。

4．不要害怕犯错误

学习英语口语是在不断犯错误的过程中练习、进步的。因此练口语应该积极主动，克服害羞心理，利用一切机会讲英语。
