1. as...as...和……一样, 原级比较

(教材P8)Today, the caves are just as international as they were at the time when people travelled the Silk Road.

今天的莫高窟和丝绸之路时代的莫高窟一样国际化。

(1)as+adj.+as ……和……一样

(2)as+adj.+a/an+n.+as...其中的形容词只能是原级。

①As a matter of fact, mental health is as important as physical health.

事实上,精神健康和身体健康一样重要。

②The young man hopes to live as simple a life as his grandpa.

这个年轻人希望和他爷爷一样过俭朴的生活。

2. neither...nor... 既不……也不……

(教材P9)Neither people nor buildings last forever, but Chen Lei’s photos can help us remember them.人与建筑都不是永恒的,但是陈磊的照片可以帮助我们记住他们。

句中Neither...nor...意为“既不……也不……”,连接的是句子的两个主语,句子的谓语动词与nor后面的主语在人称和数上保持一致。这就是主谓一致中的“就近一致原则”。遵循“就近一致原则”的结构有:

(1)not...but... 不是……而是……

(2)not only...but also...不但……而且……

(3)either...or...或者……或者……

①Neither he nor his parents are going to have a picnic tomorrow.

明天他和他的父母都不会去野餐。

②Either I or they are responsible for the result of the matter.

不是我就是他们要对那件事的结果负责。
