Language points

1. I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again.

我正尽力把它捡起当它再次咬我的时候。 

try to do sth.意为“尽力做某事”。

We try to finish the work on time.

我们尽力按时完成工作。

pick up 其宾语为代词it或them时, 必须放在中间。其宾语为名词或名词短语时，可放中间，也可放后面。
